Our messages have to be compact, because we can learn and remeber only so much information at once. But suppose we've assessed the core of our message and we have too much informationto aspire to the compactness of a proverb. How do we convey lots of informationwhen we need to? The following excercise is designed to reinforce the need for compactness and to provide a hint about how to cram more informationinto a compact. Here are the rules of this excercise: spend ten to fifteen seconds, no more, studying the letters below. Then look away from the screen, pull out a sheet of paper, and write down as many letters as you can remember.
J FKFB INAT OUP SAJKL GFHE RS

If you're like most people, you probably remember about seven to ten letters. Thats not much information. Information is very valuable it makes the world go round and creates a very unique idea of how intelegient human beins are.

1. Do the excersise, the letters are?
